Successful exhibition of Michell at the 71st Edition of Pitti Filati

Michell successfully launched the new A/W 2013 – 2014 Yarn Collection for hand knitting, machine knitting, and weaving at Pitti Filati, where visitors were delighted to see new yarns as well as new colour effects.
This was the 4th consecutive participation of Michell in the prestigious Pitti Filati show held at the Fortessa da Basso, Florence, Italy from the 4th to 6th of July 2012. This year there were lots of new yarns and colour effect that really caught the attention of all visitors.
For the hand knitting market, Michell presented both classic and fantasy yarns. The classic yarns were round yarns with special twists ideal for those hand knitters seeking a classic look and luxurious feel. For those knitter looking for special bulky effects, there were some highlights in the fantasy yarns, such chainets, roving and flames, in both light and chunky weights ranging from 3nm to 0.7nm. These fantasy effects were also presented in new colour injection effects ranging from 2 up to 6 colours.
For the machine and weaving yarns, one of the main highlight was the introduction of new yarn in count 2/80nm, made in 100% Pure Alpaca averaging a fibre of 19 to 20 microns. “Gold Alpaca”, as it is know, it is mainly suggested for women’s knitwear. Its extreme softness and light weight is ideal for close to skin wear. Visitors were also delighted to see chainets, roving and flame effects with in trendy colours and unique colour injections combinations.
